During the spring in the Smoky Mountains,
when the winter's snow begins to melt, there is no better time to
enjoy the many wonderful waterfalls found throughout the Smoky
Mountains National Park. Wildlife activity abounds during the spring.
Many animals are on the move, including does with fawns, beginning
to venture out to take advantage of the lucious spring
growth.
Spring normally lasts from March through May.
Temperatures can stil be quite cool, with a fair amount of rainfall
to be expected. Be sure to locate Smoky Mountains cabin rentals that
offer indoor swimming pools or game rooms in case you decide to stay
inside on a rainy day.
